General Souham was distinguished throughout the campaigns of the Revolution, but fell from favor after the Revolution due to his close association with General Moreau. In 1804, he was arrested and given no active assignments until 1807. Later sent to Spain, he had some success and his reputation was restored. Souham did not join Napoleon during the Hundred Days.
